At First Choice Georgia, we want to help you in any way that we can. When appropriate, we refer our patients to trusted partner agencies in the community to provide:

  • Medical care
  • Housing
  • Clothing
  • Food
  • Professional counseling
  • & more

Each case is evaluated individually. Call our office to make an appointment to discuss your needs.

We can provide you with a verification of pregnancy form if you need one to apply for Medicaid. Proof of Medicaid is required by many doctors’ offices prior to scheduling your first appointment.

The Refuge Domestic Violence Center

The Office of Violence Against Women defines domestic violence as “a pattern of abusive behavior in any relationship that is used by one partner to gain or maintain power and control over another intimate partner.” If a patient reveals that she is a victim of domestic violence, we may be able to refer her and her children to the Refuge. This is an emergency shelter which provides comprehensive services for domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their families.

The Cabbage Patch Workshop At Meadows Health

The Cabbage Patch is a program of Meadows Health in Vidalia. In this class, you will learn about nutrition, healthy pregnancies, newborn care, and much more. This class is offered quarterly on Saturdays and is free and open to all interested expectant mothers and families in the community.

The Mercy Ministries

The vision of the Mercy Ministries is to eliminate the gaps between healthcare and wellness in the community. Some of the offerings at Mercy are healthcare, dentistry, and classes in smoking cessation, diabetes education, and personal finances.
